Cornell Cooperative Extension Holds Energy Saving Workshop
Middleton on October 6th with RUPCO
Press Release
Millbrook, NY, September 19, 2014 – On Monday, October 6, 2014, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County office (18 Seward Ave, Middletown, New York 10940), Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) will be hosting a Save Energy, Save Dollars Workshop with RUPCO. This free, two-hour workshop provides energy efficiency information for residents, especially those households with limited resources, facing higher energy costs.
Come to learn easy tips to help you reduce your energy bills by identifying low-or no-cost energy conservation actions you can easily take to reduce energy consumption. This workshop will also highlight programs for free or reduced-cost energy audits, through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), as well as programs that help offset the costs of energy-efficiency improvements through subsidies, low-interest loans, or free services to qualifying households. The goal of these workshops is to help participants take real actions that will lead to real energy savings.
This workshop is free and open to the public. Each participating household will receive free energy efficient light bulbs at the end of the workshop! Additional Save Energy, Save Dollars Workshops will be held throughout Orange County through the end of October, 2014.
This workshop is offered in cooperation with RUPCO. Advance registration is required at: (845) 677-8223 x 138.
The workshops are given as part of the EmPower New York Program, are sponsored by NYSERDA, and were developed by NYSERDA in cooperation with Cornell University Cooperative Extension.
